Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
LIVO ("we", "the service") respects your privacy. This document explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have. Use of the service constitutes agreement to this policy.
1. What information we collect
- Account details — Name, email and login ID (including login via Google).
- Profile and content — Images, texts, posts, messages and content you create.
- Facial images (biometric information) — Images you upload may include your face, and when you choose, your face will be displayed on your avatar in the world. This is biometric information — the most sensitive category. We use it for display only: we do not generate a biometric signature from it, we do not identify faces in it, we do not compare it to other images, and we never recognize it. Consent for facial display is given and withdrawn at any time, and is documented in our consent records.
- Location — If you grant permission, for location-based features (map, proximity, navigation). Can be turned off at any time.
- Usage and analytics — Actions within the app (OS "signals"), device type and performance data, to improve the service and personalization.
- Payments — Managed through an external payment processor; we do not store full credit card details.
2. Why we use your information
To operate and personalize the service, create connections and recommendations, prevent fraud and maintain community safety, process payments, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing with third parties
We share information only with vendors operating the service for us, and to the extent required: database storage, image and media hosting, video/voice calls, maps and navigation, AI models for smart features, payment processing and notifications. Each is bound by confidentiality and security commitments. We will share information if required by law.
Partner links. When you leave LIVO via a partner link (marked "partner link"), your browser is directed to the external site with LIVO's partner ID — not your identifying details — and that site sees that you came from LIVO. On our end, the click is logged: which site, from which area of the app, when, the user ID if you are logged in, and a one-way hash of the IP address and browser (not the address itself, nor the page or search you performed). The goal: to know which partnerships are useful and to verify commissions with the partner. Upon account deletion, the user ID and hash are removed from the log.
4. Retention and deletion
We retain information as long as your account is active or as required for legal purposes. You can request account deletion and your personal information at any time through account settings or by contacting us. Some information may be retained in backups or as required by law for a limited period.
Specific retention periods:
- Real-time presence — Minutes only, automatically deleted.
- Who viewed your profile — to 90 Day, then automatically deleted.
- Navigation routes and activity (TREK/GO) — to 365 Day, or until you delete them first.
- Activity log — 30 days. Security events — 90 days.
- Documentation of Consents — Retained as evidence that consent was given, even after account deletion.
- Recording of Delete Request Execution — to 7 Years, without IP address.
- Account Records — For the period specified in tax law.
What happens when you delete your account. Deleted: Locations, presence, routes, social connections (both directions), profile views, dating data and family data in SHIELD. Messages you sent in a conversation with another person are not deleted from their side — deleting them would also erase their history — but your name and identity are removed from them.
5. Location and Visibility to Others (version 2026-07-21.1)
Location sharing in LIVO is under your full control. The control is in settings, under "Who sees me", and can be changed at any time. Choosing "Completely Hidden" removes you from all discovery surfaces immediately.
- Completely Hidden — You do not appear in any discovery list, map, or match suggestion.
- Name and Photo Only — Registered users see your name, photo, and whether you're online. Location, region and distance are not displayed.
- Name, Photo and Approximate Region — In addition to the above, a general region and rounded distance are displayed.
Accuracy Level. Even when you choose to share a region, the location displayed to others is always approximate: the point is offset by at least 600 meters from your actual location, and distance is rounded to buckets. We do not display your exact coordinates to another user.
Who Sees. Only registered users logged into their account. Anonymous visitors do not see users at all. Mutual blocking filters even before that.
Withdrawal of Consent. Changing the setting to "Hidden" or "Name and Photo Only" stops sharing immediately and also deletes stored location records about you — it's not just turning off a flag.
Documentation. We record the date of consent and the version of the document presented to you, as required to prove informed consent under the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981.
6. Your Rights
- View your information, correct it, or request its deletion (account deletion is available in settings).
- Download a full copy of your personal data (data export) through account settings.
- Withdraw consent (for example for location permission or sharing) at any time — turning off location sharing removes you immediately from the shared index.

7. Age and Two Separate Products
LIVO is a service for adults aged 18 and above. We request an age declaration upon registration, record it in the consent documentation, and do not knowingly collect information from minors through LIVO. If we become aware of a LIVO account belonging to a minor, it will be blocked and the information deleted.
A Separate Product for Minors. Minors have a separate product — LIVO KIDS — with a separate privacy policy, age-appropriate and in a language a minor understands, and subject to parental or guardian consent. Minor information collection is conducted solely within LIVO KIDS and subject to its privacy policy — not under this policy.
Family Protection (SHIELD). In family protection features, the supervising adult uses LIVO and the minor uses LIVO KIDS. Full details of what is collected in the family context, who sees it and how long it is retained — in LIVO KIDS's privacy policy.
8. Security and Security Event
We take reasonable measures to protect information (encryption in transit, access control, permission separation). No method is 100% secure, and we work continuously to improve. In the event of a serious security incident affecting personal information, we will act in accordance with the reporting obligations under the Privacy Protection Law and its regulations.
9. Legal Compliance and Database Management
We operate subject to the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (including Amendment 13) and applicable law. Information is managed in the database in accordance with the law, and privacy-related inquiries are handled by the responsible party at our email address above.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and local storage for login, preferences and basic analytics.
11. Changes
We will update this policy from time to time. A material change will be published in the app. Continued use after an update constitutes consent.
12. Data Protection Officer
The privacy officer at LIVO: רכז-פרטיות, בכתובת matymusic770@gmail.com.
The Data Protection Officer centralizes all your requests under this policy — access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and reporting of a privacy incident — and responds within 30 days or sooner, depending on urgency. Contacting the DPO does not diminish your right to file a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or the relevant regulator in your jurisdiction.
Before release in the EU or UK: An EU/UK Representative and formal DPO will be appointed under Article 27/39 of GDPR (or the DPA 2018), with dedicated contact details to be displayed here. Until then — the site is not intended for users from these jurisdictions, and the Terms of Use are governed solely by Israeli law.
